Fostering More Jobs & Housing
- Thanks to Mayor Deborah Robertson’s leadership, across the City of Rialto more people and families are finding good jobs and good homes. Businesses and industry are growing across the city spurring jobs in healthcare, education, transportation, logistics and retail. Most recently, Mayor Robertson spearheaded the expansion of the popular Renaissance Marketplace, an 80,000-square foot retail and commercial center, which has brought even more businesses, manufacturing, and jobs to Rialto.
- To meet the demands of a growing job market, Mayor Robertson has worked to secure more market-rate and affordable-housing units for Rialto residents. This includes a collection of single-family homes in River Ranch at 2410 Walker Street, 21-unit apartment building at Evergreen Apartments on Cactus Avenue and a 70-unit multi-family development consisting of 19 buildings on 4.5 acres at Foothill and Larch.
- Her work is why Southern Californians see Rialto as an ideal place to live. Mayor Robertson is proud of the fact that home prices in Rialto are 30 percent less than the state average and nearly two-thirds of families in the city own their own homes. Mayor Robertson wants to build on this success, which is why we need to re-elect Mayor Robertson and keep it going.
Providing Infrastructure for the Future
- Seeking to cement her legacy and a bright future for Rialto residents, Mayor Deborah Robertson is committed to investing in the city’s infrastructure. This includes improving roads and coordinating with Southern California Edison and other local utilities and agencies to increase efficiency and save valuable taxpayer dollars. Mayor Robertson is leading the effort to develop and open a new downtown parking lot with better LED lighting, trees with irrigation lines and more parking stalls with EV charging stations that will allow for more local businesses to grow and thrive.
- Mayor Robertson’s efforts to upgrade the city’s infrastructure includes the reconstruction and improvement of major arteries and local roads. This includes street pavement overlays, traffic striping, pavement markings, curb removals and replacements, new gutters, curb ramps, driveways, sidewalks, traffic signals and pedestrian push buttons. This also includes working collaboratively with the City of San Bernardino through a $5 million joint venture to improve Pepper Avenue from Mill Street to Baseline Road. She’s also working to modernize family homes still utilizing septic tanks, which are the most frequently reported sources of groundwater contamination in the U.S., and add them to the city’s sewer system. Mayor Robertson understands that good infrastructure includes details such as sewer systems, traffic flow, pedestrian safety and lighting, which improves the environment and quality of life for all.
- Mayor Deborah Robertson is investing in a new $83 million state-of-the-art police department building through a public-private partnership with a leading development firm. This collaboration underscores her continued dedication to infrastructure and fostering a safe, growing community for all residents.
